Wills and Estates
At Hamilton Thomas Lawyers, we provide a bespoke Wills and Estates service.
Further to the context of family law, once you have separated from your partner, it is crucial to re-evaluate the contents of your will to accurately represent the change in your personal circumstances and wishes.
It is also recommended (subject to financial and taxation advice) that you change the current beneficiary in your superannuation policy, as this is often your partner. Similar advice is given to change any Powers of Attorney that are currently in place. You may need to revoke those powers immediately after separation.
We also provide Wills and Power of Attorney services to people who are not going through a family law separation.
At Hamilton Thomas Lawyers, Bentleigh East, we provide fixed fees for our basic wills and powers of attorney and can otherwise tailor a fixed quote for more complex estate planning matters.
